Following the 2017 General Election, the APPG Boxing wanted to develop it’s Parliamentary and corporate member base; and progress an innovative meeting programme.

Working very closely with the APPG Chair, TFA used relationship building techniques to develop the Parliamentary and corporate member base; and progressed an innovative and interactive programme of meetings, panel discussion roundtable events, and informal Parliamentary dinners.

Following targeted and focused approaches to boxing stakeholders, clubs, charities and Parliamentarians, TFA secured support from a wide range of organisations including: British Boxing Board of Control; Matchroom Sports; William Hill; Ladbrokes, My Next Match, the Boxing Academy and Empire Fighting Chance. Innovative panel discussions and meetings were held on boxing and crime reduction, and women in boxing; and an informal Parliamentary dinner was held with former professional boxer, Ricky Hatton MBE and Sky Sports commentator, Spencer Oliver.
