Working with Charteris Consulting Ltd, TFA supported Europe’s leading payments service provider, equensWorldline and helped them to build profile and awareness amongst UK policy makers to promote greater competition in the central payments infrastructure.
Approach
TFA developed a nimble and focused public affairs engagement programme including face-to-face meetings with high-level Ministerial and Special Adviser policy influencers; building a coalition of support amongst payments and financial services policy interest Parliamentarians; encouraging supportive Parliamentarians to table questions probing on Government position; and holding a Parliamentary roundtable event to position equensWorldline as a payments policy innovator and thought leader.
Results
TFA’s focused and targeted public affairs programme enabled equensWorldine to establish effective relationships with high-level policy influencers across Government; build a coalition of political support in favour of greater competition in the UK’s payments infrastructure; and actively participate in the ongoing Faster Payments contract procurement process.
